Bio:
Katrina L. DeBonis, MD, is a UCLA psychiatrist in Adult and Geriatric Psychiatry and an HS Associate Clinical Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Biobehavioral Sciences. She has served as Medical Director of UCLA Student Behavioral Health Services since 2012. Dr. DeBonis earned her undergraduate degree at MIT in Brain and Cognitive Science and her MD from NYU School of Medicine, completed internship training at Harbor-UCLA, and finished her psychiatry residency at UCLA. Her scholarly work includes publications on medical education and training, and her listed areas of expertise include curriculum development, teaching and learning, and e-learning.
Dialogue Experience/Expertise:
DeBonis leads psychiatric education at UCLA, with roles that have included Medical Director of UCLA Student Behavioral Health Services; her scholarship spans ethics and clinical training. Katrina L. DeBonis was a Dialogue across Difference Faculty Fellow in 2024–25.
