The last few decades have seen the rise of exclusionary nativism and authoritarianism, on the one hand, and the rise of various grassroots and more institutionalized social movements seeking to resist such forces, on the other. By fostering meaningful discussion and cooperative ties across difference (national, ethnic, racial, gendered, class, and more), this initiative aims to forge proactive solidarities that rest on a collective sense of agency and responsibility for the promotion of community well-being for all.
