Bio:
Sirenia Sanchez, Ph.D., is the Manager of Education for UCLA Anderson’s Inclusive Ethics Initiative (IEI). In this role, she helps develop IEI’s evidence-based learning experiences and teaching materials that support individuals and organizations in putting inclusive ethics into practice. Her work spans multiple formats, including curricula, case discussions, and workshop series designed to build practical skills for equitable participation and ethical leadership.
Dialogue Experience/Expertise:
Through IEI, Dr. Sirenia Sanchez supports facilitated dialogues and trains participants to communicate across difference using practical, research-informed exercises. She facilitates ECHO (Engage with Humility, Courage, and Openness), a seven-session workshop series structured as a cohort-based learning community for UCLA graduate and undergraduate students, staff, and faculty. ECHO emphasizes skills like facilitating conversations (rather than avoiding or shutting them down), navigating difficult moments with courage and vulnerability, and building inclusion in everyday and workplace settings. The program runs both virtually (Zoom) and in person across the academic year, allowing participants to engage in dialogue practice in multiple modalities.
